Fruity fragrances

Fruit in perfume used to mean cheap; it doesn't anymore. Modern fruity scents run from the smoky pineapple that made Creed Aventus the most-copied men's fragrance of its era, to the crisp apple in YSL Y, to the mango that carries Paco Rabanne Fame. The trick with fruit is ripeness control: the good ones smell just-cut, the bad ones smell like melted candy, and the note list alone won't tell you which is which. Fruity accords read young, energetic and approachable, and they are the easiest scents to wear casually without feeling overdressed.
