Launched in early 2022, 1 Million Elixir Parfum Intense marked the line's most ambitious upward move in concentration and character. Under PUIG's stewardship, Rabanne positioned the Elixir as the most sensual and powerful expression of the 1 Million universe — a deliberate nod to the niche-market appetite for heavier, richer masculines. The composition pivots from the original's leather-spice architecture toward something more floral and boozy: davana (a French herb with an apricot-fruity quality) and apple open proceedings, giving way to a Damascus rose and osmanthus heart before the dry-down arrives at vanilla absolute, tonka bean, and patchouli. The result is darker, more unisex-leaning, and warmer than its 2008 predecessor. The bottle continues the gold-ingot motif, now rendered in darker, more moody tones. The Elixir format — denoting Parfum Intense concentration across multiple Rabanne flanker families — signals that the house is comfortable pushing its most commercial lines toward premium positioning.
