Fame launched in September 2022 as the first major new feminine pillar from Paco Rabanne in years — and it arrived with genuine ambition. The fragrance was created by four perfumers: Dora Baghriche, Marie Salamagne, Alberto Morillas, and Fabrice Pellegrin, with Grasse jasmine as the stated centrepiece of the formula, harvested using micro-liquid technology to capture the flower's fresh, watery facets. Ninety percent of its ingredients come from natural-origin sources, a sustainability credential the brand promoted prominently. But the more talked-about element was the bottle: a golden robot dressed in the house's chainmail dress, visor sunglasses, and signature jewellery — a feminised version of the sci-fi Phantom robot, paying homage to Rabanne founder Paco Rabanne's '60s space-age couture. Actress Elle Fanning was announced as global ambassador at launch. The scent itself — juicy mango and bergamot blooming into jasmine and olibanum over sandalwood and vanilla — is lighter and more accessible than it looks; reviewers consistently note its versatility across day and evening wear. It has earned a genuine following on Fragrantica and elsewhere for balancing wearability with personality.
A bold, award-winning fruity floral EDP built around juicy mango, luminous jasmine, and creamy incense — modern femininity in a striking sculptural bottle.
