The story

Released in 2025, Million Gold Elixir Parfum Intense represents the newest chapter in Rabanne's premium masculine line. Created by Quentin Bisch and Christophe Raynaud — Raynaud's return to the Million DNA he helped shape in 2008 — the fragrance is built around three principal pillars: yellow mandarin with cardamom, a rich vanilla and cedarwood heart, and a warm sandalwood-patchouli base. The bottle revisits the iconic gold ingot silhouette but updates it with the house's XL Link chain motif, inspired by the boat chains of Brittany, now adorned with an amber gemstone. The campaign features Moses Sumney, the genre-defying musician and visual artist, marking a new cultural direction for the house. The fragrance sits squarely in the niche-inspired oriental-vanilla masculine space that has dominated collector and gifting segments in the mid-2020s, positioning the Million line as capable of trading blows with more premium players.

Our take

A niche-inspired 2025 flanker built around liquorous vanilla, caramelized mandarin, and sandalwood — opulent, creamy, and unmistakably warm.
