Lattafa Perfumes is a Dubai-based house with roots stretching back to the early 1980s, founded by Sheikh Shahid Ahmad as a family venture steeped in Emirati fragrance culture. The name Lattafa derives from the Arabic words for 'gentle' and 'pleasant' — a fitting banner for a house that would eventually export Middle Eastern perfumery philosophy to over 120 countries. Yara arrived in 2020, part of Lattafa's ongoing strategy of delivering high-concentration oriental EDPs at price points that embarrass the competition. With its pink bottle and a warm accord of orchid, heliotrope, tropical fruits, and a creamy vanilla-sandalwood dry-down, Yara quietly positioned itself as a soft, powdery gourmand for everyday wear. Within a year or two it exploded on TikTok and Reddit fragrance communities, where users flagged it for smelling like fragrances costing ten times as much. That viral moment — and the ensuing wave of 'budget luxury' haul content — made Yara a flagship example of affordable Arabic perfumery breaking into Western mainstream culture. The Yara line has since grown into a full family: Yara Tous, Yara Candy, Yara Moi, and Yara Elixir.
A viral affordable gourmand EDP from Dubai — orchid, heliotrope, and tropical fruits melting into creamy vanilla and sandalwood — delivering a luxury-feel dry-down at a fraction of the cost.
