Hacivat launched in 2017 as part of Turkish house Nishane's Prestige collection, composed by perfumer Jorge Lee. The name references a character from traditional Turkish Karagoz shadow-puppet theatre, tying the fragrance to Istanbul's cultural heritage. It became Nishane's breakout signature scent and a viral success on YouTube and Reddit, frequently recommended as a fresher, fruitier alternative to Creed Aventus. The fruity-chypre structure of pineapple and citrus over patchouli and oakmoss is what drives the comparison. Its popularity helped establish Nishane as one of the most recognizable independent niche houses of the late 2010s.
A radiant pineapple-and-grapefruit opening that dries down into a clean cedar-patchouli chypre, often cross-shopped with Aventus by people who want the fruit without the smoke. Versatile, polished and instantly likeable.
