Never-Ending Summer is among the newest entries in the Replica collection, released in 2025 and created by Christophe Raynaud — a Givaudan perfumer who previously worked on the 1 Million franchise for Paco Rabanne, an unusual pairing with Margiela's understated aesthetic. The memory it replicates is specific: a golden afternoon on the Amalfi Coast, aperitivo hour, a glass of Aperol spritz catching the late sun. Maison Margiela developed a proprietary Italian Spritz accord, and Never-Ending Summer is built around it — bitter orange, Aperol, and pepper open with a sparkling, slightly bittersweet citrus quality that avoids the synthetic sweetness of most summer releases. Earl grey tea, cardamom, and nutmeg give the heart unexpected warmth and texture, while vetiver, cedarwood, cashmeran, patchouli, and Peru balsam ground the dry-down in a woody earthiness that prevents the fragrance reading as merely bright or linear. It is unisex in execution and notably restrained in longevity — a genuine skin scent at two to four hours — which some reviewers consider a weakness at its price point and others read as part of its breezy, wear-it-generously character.
A sparkling Aperol spritz in fragrance form — bitter orange and cardamom over vetiver and cedar for a non-sweet, sun-drenched summer vibe.
