Chance Eau Tendre is a flanker in Chanel's Chance line, which debuted in 2003 as a younger, more playful counterpart to the house's classic florals. The original Eau Tendre Eau de Toilette launched in 2010, composed by in-house perfumer Jacques Polge, built around a soft grapefruit-and-quince fruity-floral signature. In 2019, house perfumer Olivier Polge reformulated it as an Eau de Parfum, giving the composition more body, creaminess, and longevity while keeping the tender, fresh character. The Chance family is recognizable by its distinctive round bottle. Eau Tendre has become one of the most popular and accessible entries in the range, frequently recommended as an easygoing daily floral.
A gentle, approachable fruity-floral built on grapefruit and quince over a clean jasmine-musk drydown. The 2019 EDP is creamier and longer-lasting than the original EDT, making it an easy, crowd-pleasing daytime scent.
Nose: Olivier Polge
