Pegasus launched in 2016 as part of Parfums de Marly's equestrian-named men's collection, the house founded by Julien Sprecher in 2009 to revive the spirit of 18th-century French royal perfumery. Composed by Hamid Merati-Kashani, it built its profile slowly before becoming a sleeper hit, eventually joined and re-amplified by the 2020 release of the more intense Pegasus Exclusif. Its core idea is heliotrope and bitter almond wrapped in vanilla and sandalwood, a creamy-gourmand structure that proved unusually versatile for a men's release. The fragrance is frequently cited as a gateway into the niche category for fans of accessible, sweet-leaning scents. It remains one of the house's signature pillars alongside Layton and Herod.
A smooth, milky almond-and-vanilla scent that reads as soft and gourmand without being a dessert; one of the most reliable compliment-getters in the Parfums de Marly men's lineup. The bitter almond up top settles into a heliotrope-vanilla cream that feels expensive and comforting.
