Gucci Bloom debuted in 2017 as the first fragrance launched under creative director Alessandro Michele, signaling a new aesthetic direction for the house. Perfumer Alberto Morillas built the composition around a tuberose-and-jasmine heart, adding Rangoon creeper (Quisqualis indica, a flower that changes color as it blooms) for a fresher green-floral facet, with orris in the base. The campaign featured Dakota Johnson, Hari Nef and Petra Collins, emphasizing femininity and diversity. Bloom became one of the most successful designer florals of the late 2010s and spawned a large flanker family including Acqua di Fiori, Nettare di Fiori, Intense and Profumo di Fiori. Its rich, garden-like white-floral profile made it a defining mainstream tuberose scent of its era.
A rich, true-to-life white floral built around tuberose and jasmine with a green Rangoon-creeper lift and a soft orris base, evoking a blooming garden. It is unapologetically floral and feminine, near-linear in development, best in warmer months and for romantic occasions.
