Sauvage is the best-selling men’s fragrance in the United States, and a lot of people who want it are waiting for a sale that, at Dior, is never going to happen. That does not mean Sauvage never gets cheaper. It means the discount happens somewhere other than Dior, on a specific version rather than the whole line, and inside a fairly predictable calendar. Dior’s stance: no discounts, plenty of extras

Dior is one of the houses that protects its fragrance prices completely at its own points of sale. You will not see a Sauvage percentage off at dior.com, at a Dior boutique or at a Dior counter inside a department store, on Black Friday or at any other time. What Dior does instead is add value around the bottle: complimentary engraving on the flask, generous samples, gift wrapping, and holiday coffrets that pair a full bottle with a travel spray or shower gel at the combined list price. For a buyer who wants the Sauvage experience with the brand behind it, those are the real Dior deals, and the coffrets in particular are worth it if you would have bought the travel size anyway.
