Affiliate disclosure

The short version. MySecretCart is an Amazon affiliate. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you buy through a link here, Amazon pays us a small commission — your price is exactly the same. We never charge you a fee. That is what keeps the app free.

What we do

We curate gift guides and let you save products from across the web. When you click a "Buy at retailer" button and complete a purchase, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. This is called affiliate marketing, and we're transparent about it because the law requires it (FTC 16 CFR Part 255) and because it's the right thing to do.

The networks we work with

• Amazon Associates — for purchases at Amazon. This is the affiliate program behind essentially all of our links today.
• General affiliate networks (e.g. Skimlinks) — if you save and buy from a non-Amazon retailer, we may use a general affiliate network to attribute that sale. We earn a commission only where such a program covers the retailer.

As we add more retailers and networks, we'll keep this list current.

What it means for our editorial

Our gift guides are independent. Products we feature are chosen because we think they're worth wanting, not because a retailer paid for placement. If a piece is sponsored, we say so explicitly: a "Sponsored" badge appears on the product card, and the section header indicates the brand partnership.

What we track

When you click a buy button, we record the click anonymously (the wish id, the retailer, the time, and a session identifier) so the retailer can attribute a sale back to us. That's the only way we get paid. We don't sell click data, and we don't share it with the retailer beyond what the affiliate network needs to confirm the sale.
