The story

Naxos launched in 2015 as part of Xerjoff's 'Join the Club' collection (later folded into the 1861 line), composed for founder Sergio Momo by perfumers Chris Maurice and Christian Carbonnel. It rapidly became one of the most celebrated tobacco fragrances of the 2010s, distinguished from the genre's heavier entries by an aromatic fougere-style lavender-bergamot opening that lifts the honey-tobacco-vanilla core. The scent earned a strong cult following in enthusiast communities for balancing gourmand sweetness with classical refinement at the ultra-luxury price tier. It is frequently named in 'best tobacco fragrance' discussions alongside Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille and PdM Herod. Naxos helped cement Xerjoff's reputation in the high-end niche market.

Our take

A luxurious honeyed-tobacco scent softened by an aromatic lavender-and-bergamot opening, landing somewhere between a sweet gourmand and a refined fougere. It is one of the most acclaimed modern tobacco fragrances, praised for its smooth honey-vanilla-tobacco blend and superb performance.
