A resinous accord gives a fragrance glow and gravity; these scents feel slightly sacred even in a t-shirt, and they last extraordinarily long because resins evaporate slowly. Baccarat Rouge 540 is resin gone futurist, radiant and abstract, Grand Soir is the classical golden-amber evening take, and TOFÉ Endorphins warms saffron into a resinous hum. They are contemplative rather than flirtatious, at their best in cold air and evening light. If incense appeals to you but church is too literal, resinous is the softer landing.
