Grand Soir was created by Francis Kurkdjian and launched in 2016 as part of Maison Francis Kurkdjian's permanent collection. The name, meaning 'grand evening,' evokes a glamorous Parisian night and the warm glow of amber as a fragrance theme. Built on a luminous amber accord with labdanum, benzoin, tonka bean and vanilla, it is widely regarded as one of the benchmark modern amber fragrances, praised for being rich yet refined and never cloying. It earned a strong following alongside Baccarat Rouge 540 as one of MFK's signature pillars and is frequently recommended as an entry point into ambery orientals. A higher-concentration Extrait version followed in later years.
A smooth, golden amber-and-vanilla built on labdanum, benzoin and tonka that smells like warm candlelight without turning syrupy. One of the most elegant and easy-to-wear amber scents in the niche segment.
