Phantom Intense EDP, launched in 2024, occupies a deliberate middle ground between the accessible original EDT and the richer, more complex 2023 Parfum. Created by Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo, Juliette Karagueuzoglou, and Paul Guerlain, it deepens the lavender-citrus opening with cardamom, rhubarb, and bergamot, and introduces rum absolute and clary sage into the heart — a touch of boozy warmth that the EDT lacks. The base of vanilla, tolu balsam, and vetiver remains continuous with the other Phantom expressions but is weighted more toward the aromatic-amber than the smoky-earthy end. Rabanne frames it around 'twilight' — the threshold moment between day and night — and the concentration is positioned as strong enough for evening wear but approachable enough for date contexts without demanding the full-intensity commitment of the Parfum. Released in a 50ml refillable format, it also signals the house's increasing commitment to sustainable packaging across the Phantom range.
