The story

Allure Homme Sport launched in 2004 as the sportier flanker to Chanel's 1999 Allure Homme, composed by long-serving Chanel perfumer Jacques Polge. It pairs a fresh aldehydic-citrus opening and a marine-tinged pepper accord with a warm tonka, white musk, and woody vetiver-cedar base, giving it more refinement than typical 'sport' offerings of the era. The fragrance became a long-running staple recommended for daytime, office, and warm-weather wear, and it spawned its own sub-line including the Eau Extreme and Cologne Sport versions. Its enduring popularity over two decades has made it one of Chanel's most reliable men's sellers. It is often held up as a more grown-up, polished alternative to the freshwater aquatics it competed against.

Our take

A bright, slightly salty citrus-woody scent over a warm tonka-and-musk base with woody vetiver and cedar, finished with that signature clean Chanel polish. An effortless warm-weather everyday and office choice.
